Behavior Technician

Join our caring and collaborative team that provides a supportive work environment, training and career advancement in Applied Behavior Analysis. At TASKids, our core value is to support clinical growth of our behavior technicians and supervisors. Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts/Licensed Behavior Analysts provide monthly trainings and ongoing supervision to maintain ethical and effective treatment plans for the children and families we serve. Job Requirements:

  • Have experience in the field of autism and special needs, education, mental health or ABA
  • Minimum BA/BS with 6 months – 1 years’ experience with ABA. BA/BS preferred in the fields of psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, school psychology, education, special education, ABA, or related field
  • Available primarily 2pm on multiple days per week; able to maintain consistent schedule; Commit to 1 year of employment
  • Possess strong clinical insight, and critical thinking skills
  • Bilingual speaking therapists highly desired
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license and driver’s insurance

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Be fun, energetic, and motivating for the children and families we work with
  • Provide skills training services and/or behavioral therapy to children, adolescents, adults and their families
  • Part-time (up to 25 hours per week dependent on the Technician’s and client’s availability and degree); available after 2pm on multiple days per week; reliable
  • Travel between clients’ homes within an hour of Richmond
  • Maintain accurate records of sessions including session notes and data collection
  • Provide feedback to parents/caregivers under the direction of the BCBA/LBA
  • Collaborate with other technicians and clinical staff in the agency, as well as schools and other therapies client’s receive
  • Able to work as a technician who implements treatment plans under the supervision of the BCBA/LBA, seeking out additional support and supervision from clinical team as needed
  • Participate in on-going trainings and supervision.

    Hybrid Home-Based BCBA

    Join our caring and collaborative team and step into a flexible, relationship-centered BCBA role designed to support clinical excellence and sustainability. TASKids is committed to developing leaders from within and equipping clinicians with the support, autonomy, and resources needed to provide high-quality, ethical ABA services for children and families.

    $5,000 Sign-On Bonus!

    Sign-on bonus is paid after 90 days working with clients. Bonus may vary based on ABA work experience, education, certification, and meeting all job requirements.

    Job Requirements:

    • BCBA® Certified
    • BCBA Experience 1-3 years
    • Demonstrated knowledge of ABA treatment techniques and treatment program designs for children of varying skill levels
    • M.A. /M.S. in related field
    • Bi-lingual is a Plus
    • Proven people-management skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent administrative skills

     Job Responsibilities:

    • Lead, supervise and mentor treatment team of therapists
    • Set and achieve performance goals with client, client guardian, and treatment teams
    • Assist with training of staff
    • Determine techniques to be used in implementation of treatment plans
    • Conduct initial and on-going client assessments, and based on these assessments, design and maintain top quality treatment programs
    • Oversee and maintain accurate and organized client notes, data, and reports for internal and external stakeholders
    • Train clients’ guardians and family members on treatment techniques; maintain positive working relationship with clients’ family
    • Supervise and train Behavior Interventionists by working with them
    • Monitor programs in the field and/or clinic
    • Provide direct supervision and parent consultation for our families
    • Conduct and write FBAs
    • Write Progress Reports
    • Lead and mentor teamProvide skills training services and/or behavioral therapy to children, adolescents, adults and their families

    Schedule:

      • You will have autonomy to create your own schedule
      • You will have the ability to schedule sessions based on your clients needs, while being able to balance the needs of your time outside of work
      • Direct services are provided in person in home and community settings
      • Clinicians also have the opportunity to complete indirect tasks at home such as report writing and meetings

    Physical Demands:

          • Full physical dexterity/agility to perform required movements (bending, kneeling, typing, etc.)
          • Sufficient vision to carry out duties
          • Ability to lift and carry pediatric clients (5 to 50 lbs.)

    Benefits:

    • Salary Range $75,000 – $85,000 DOE
